Bachelor Nation alums Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick dished on some intimate details about their relationship during her Off the Vine podcast and we’re D-E-A-D over how adorable they are. It Came Quick
Kaitlyn, 33, began the story with a little context about where they were in their relationship. “We hadn’t been hanging out very long … it was long enough to know how we felt.” Jason, 30, added, “I think for most people’s timescale, I think it’s pretty quick.”

He Had Some Time to Figure Things Out
Jason explained to Kaitlyn while doing an episode of Drunk Dial on April 12 that the show gave him a new lease on his love life. He said, “When you do go on The Bachelor because you go through this period of no phone, no tv, no internet, no music, no anything, it really gives [you] … time to really just self reflect.” He confessed, “You learn what you’ve done wrong in relationships or how you could be better.”

For the Better
After getting dumped by Becca Kufrin during the past season of The Bachelorette, the stud was ready to find his person. “I came out just so much more open and understanding who I am and what I want. So, I think that’s why things do escalate quick,” he divulged about his relationship after the show.

Kaitlyn agreed and joked, “That’s the nature of the show, you know. You’re like, ‘Oh, we’ve been dating for a few months now we should probably get married.’ So, that’s what we do.”

The Canadian was engaged to the winner from season 10, Shawn Booth, for three years before the couple officially split in November 2018. It looks like she’s definitely moved on to greener pastures.

The Feeling Was Mutual
Kaitlyn continued to explain the sweet story about the huge milestone in her and Jason’s relationship. She said, “We were playing cards as we do … We were at Jason’s apartment and I knew we both felt it. I knew we both wanted to say the I love you’s.”

Not Exactly According to Plan
“I think you wanted to have some sort of plan like some sort of special way of saying it which is so stinkin’ cute,” she gushed while setting up the story.

She continued, “Our conversation has always been very straightforward, very honest, very open and you looked at me while we were playing cards and I was like, ‘What?'”

The Big Moment
Despite Jason wanting to go above-and-beyond for this particular conversation, he couldn’t contain himself. Kaitlyn continued, “Then you said, ‘I want to say something. I was going to say it in a different way or at a different time but we don’t hold back and I don’t want to hold back what I feel with you. I just love you.'”

So Sweet
Jason confirmed that the former dancer nailed the retelling of their special moment. The banker acknowledged, “I had an idea of the way I wanted to deliver it but one of the things about our relationship is that we’ve always been extremely, extremely open in our communication.”

Great Advice to Live By
One thing that the two love about their relationship is how open they are with each other. Jason explained, “If we have the slightest issue — good, bad or ugly — we don’t hold things back. We don’t filter things we just put it on the table with one another.”

Just Being Honest
Jason continued with where his head was at during that moment. He said, “So, at that time, I think I had an idea of like, again, having a romantic manner in which I delivered the message that was meaningful.” However, he didn’t want to keep how he felt inside any longer. “We were just playing cards and I looked at you and was like, ‘Wow, I love you.'”

“It was romantic because it was raw and real,” the podcast host raved about the sweet moment. We have to agree with her!

The fact that it was an imperfect moment made it completely perfect for Kaitlyn. She joked that there would be another time for a flawlessly planned moment. She joked, “When you get down on one knee then you can do it properly.”

Things Are Going Well
The couple definitely seems over-the-moon about each other. Kaitlyn wrote about her beau on Instagram on April 11, “I fell a little harder last night when he knew every [Backstreet Boys] song and danced the whole time. You, Jason Tartick, are my fav.”
